‘Scales’ First Light film made with West Ham United Inspire Learning is shortlisted for an award.

Scales‘ a First Light funded  film made with West Ham United Inspire Learning (http://www.newhaminspire.org.uk https://twitter.com/WHUInspire) has been nominated in the Best Film by Under 12s category at the First Light Awards 2013

My role was as animation consultant, teaching the children how to create a cut-out animation as well as using After Effects.

First Light have shortlisted the 4 nominated films in each category using an industry panel and the winning film is to be selected by a group of celebrity judges. Judges this year include Sir Alan Parker, David Heyman, Dawn Porter, Martin Freeman, Matt Smith and many, many more!

The award ceremony took place at the Odeon Leicester Square on Tuesday 19th March 2013.  Scales was not the winner sadly, but it was a great day out. SCALES did however win the Junior category at the Brighton Youth Film Festival which was very gratifying.
